About Dianne Romanos
I was diagnosed in 2017 with Breast Cancer and am a survivor. I have also been treated for Bowel Cancer in 2016 and am a survivor. I am also diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma the year before and am on a watch and see basis.
It is a daunting thing to be told you have cancer – any kind of cancer and it’s probably not until then that you realise how many of us are going/been/or preparing to go on this not so pleasant journey. I hope if you are in the middle or preparing to go through that you have brilliant support like I did with my 2 daughters and husband (they were my absolute rocks) plus the many friends I had were absolutely amazing.
I watched my mother many years before go through Breast Cancer. She used to sew all the pockets for prostheses into all her bra’s as they were so expensive to buy then and still can be. When I was diagnosed it made me think there must be more affordable choices not only with mastectomy bra’s but caps and bandanas for women so decided to start my business “BreastFriends” to be able to give back. I do try to be a good advocate for the promotion of “early detection” for what I have been through but for any type of cancer as I know if it can found early enough then quality of life and survivable is much higher.
